With its population of around 214,000, the historic Hanseatic City of Lübeck is one of the largest towns in northern Germany. It is also just 60 kilometers away from Hamburg. As one of Schleswig-Holstein’s regional centers, it has a large catchment area, with the heart of Lübeck in particular also benefiting from its tourist appeal.
